USING YOUR CORDLESS STEAM IRON FOR THE FIRST TIME

•  Unpack the iron, remove all the packaging materials.
•  Unwind the power cord.
•  Connect the iron to the base and insert the plug into the socket.

USING THE IRON CORDED

•  When using the iron as a corded iron connected with

the base, place the base on a flat dry surface.

•  Make sure the base lock is open. Line up the two

arrows, one on the anti-slip heel of the iron and the

other on the base, so the back of the handle and the

cord on the base line up.

•  Then make sure the base lock is in the closed

position to lock, the base onto the iron, with the iron

now in a vertical position on its heel.

USING THE IRON CORDLESS

•  When using the iron cordless, move the base lock to the open position and hold in

this position, then with the other hand hold the handle of the iron and remove it from

the base.

•  Let go of the base lock and position the iron back on the base.

INITIAL USE

•  Fill the iron with tap water, as described below in ‘Filling the Water Tank’.
•  Stand the iron upright on its anti-slip heel. Make sure the steam slider is turned to ‘No

Steam’  .

•  Plug in and switch on at the socket.
•  The ASO light at the top of the base will illuminate to show that there is power to it.
•  The heat indicator light will illuminate orange when the iron is on the base to show

that there is power to it. When the iron has reached temperature the heat indicator

light will go out.

•  When you switch on the iron for the first time you may notice a slight burning smell,

this is normal for a new appliance and will stop after a few uses.

•  Increase the heat setting to the highest temperature, move the steam control slider to

the right of the iron ‘Maximum Steam’  .

•  You will notice steam coming out of the soleplate.
•  Some residue may remain inside the iron from manufacture, so iron an old cotton

cloth or tea towel for first use, do not use the iron on your laundry. Press the steam

shot and water spray buttons to run water through the iron.
