BALANCED INPUTS
The signal inputs are situated on the rear and
equipped with XLR female type sockets, allow-
ing balanced signal injection. They are marked
"BAL IN L" and "BAL IN R" respectively.
THE COMMAND INPUT
The command input on the rear is equipped
with gold plated XLR female type sockets,
allowing balanced signal injection. It is marked
"COMMAND IN".
It can be used e.g. for communication signals
sent from the mixing console, metronome
clicks, tuning references etc.
The signal present on the command input is
mixed to all L/R signals of the module(s).
THE LINK SWITCH
Module 2 is equipped with a "LINK"-switch.
When engaged ("LINK"-switch pushed), the
line inputs (BAL IN L/R) from the 1
st
module
are routed to the 2
nd
module, but not the
command signal !
HINT:
Ex works the command signal present on the
1
st
module is routed internally to the 2
nd
module with the aid of jumpers. When this
function is
not
desired, please follow the
adivces on page 19 to permute the dedicated
jumpers.
THE UNBALANCED INPUT
This input is situated on the rear panel and
equipped with a TRS type socket. It is located
after the balanced inputs and the link switch
and marked as "STEREO LINE IN". When a
phone jack is plugged in, the balanced line
inputs are switched off !
This means that unbalanced signals are
treated with priority which may be used e. g.
for daisy chaning multiple F399 units.
