INSTALL OPTIONAL VALANCE

The valance will come with a profile stapled to the back to snap onto the valance clip.

Tilt the prongs on the top of the valance clip into the groove at the top front of the Achieva headrail.

Push at the bottom of the clip until it snaps into the groove at the bottom front of the headrail.

If returns are not glued on, install the corner connectors. Gently slide the L bracket into the slot notched into the

return, then into the slot notched into the valance.

Snap clip onto profile on back of valance.

INSTALL THE CORD GUIDE

The cord guide reduces the hazards of strangulation and entanglement of children and pets by

limiting the access to the cord control. Anchor the cord guide to the window frame or wall.

Lower the blind.

Hold the cord guide upright as shown in the picture.

Position the cord guide on the window frame or wall so that the cord guide and control chain

do not interfere with raising and lowering the shade. The cord guide should be installed without

stretching or pulling down on the control chain. Do not twist or cross the control chain.

Holding the cord guide upright, and in position as shown, insert and secure the screw through

the hole. The mounting screw must be secured into a solid surface or wall fastener.

INSTALL OPTIONAL HOLD-DOWNS

Drill a 1/8” hole centered in the ends of the bottom rail and insert a pin into each hole. Tap the pin in place with a ham-

mer.

To mount the hold-down brackets, first fully lower the blind.

Align the hold-down brackets with the pins in the bottom rail. The pin should be aligned with the second slot.

If a spacer is being used, use the first slot in the hold-down bracket.

Mark the mounting surface for screw placement.

Screw the bracket down.

Slide the hold-down pins into the approriate slot.

CARE AND CLEANING

Since your wood blind is crafted from real wood, care must be taken in cleaning.  Washing the blind is NOT recom-

mended.  Although the wood is sealed, water or even excessive dampness may cause warpage or discoloration of

the slats.  Since the surface of the slats is quite smooth, dust may be easily be brushed off at regular intervals using

a clean, soft dust cloth or a vacuum cleaner brush attachment.

To Vacuum:

Use the brush dust head attachment and tilt slats first up, then down (but not entirely closed) to reach

the entire top and bottom surfaces.

To Dust:

Use a soft, clean cloth and tilt the slats as above.
