2.4 Driver Verification
Windows 98 SE & Me Users:
From the
Start
menu, click on
Settings
, and then open the
Control Panel
. From the
Control Panel
, click on
System
, and then
click on the
Device Manager
button. In the list that follows, you should see the following:
1394 Bus Controller
. If you click on
the
+
sign beside
1394 Bus Controller
, the following should then be listed:
PCI OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller
. If
there is an “
X
” or “
!
” besides this entry, there is a conflict, and you will need to consult the Windows Help System to solve the
problem.
Windows 2000 Users:
From the
Start
menu, click on
Settings
, and then open the
Control Panel
. From the
Control Panel
, click on
System
, and then
click on the
Hardware
tab. At the next window, click on the
Device Manager
button. In the list that follows, you should see the
following:
1394 Bus Controller
. If you click on the
+
sign beside
1394 Bus Controller
, the following should then be listed:
PCI
OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller
. If there is an “

” or “

Mac Users:
Open
Apple System Profiler
and click on the
Devices and Volumes
tab. If your device is not listed, retry the installation
procedure and try the other troubleshooting solutions listed here.
