REWIND CONTROLS:
The torque and direction of the rewind shaft are
adjustable by the controls on top of the machine.
Torque potentiometer
: allows to adjust the rewind
tension. DO NOT APPLY EXCESSIVE TORQUE.
If the
rewind unit gets noisy, it is most probably due to
excessive rewind torque.
Direction Switch
: allows to change the direction of the rewind shaft for wind-in or wind-
out functions.
Switched/Continuous Switch
: allows to choose the rewind mode depending on the
application. When in continuous, the rewinder will not stop with the front control panel
commands. In switched mode, the rewinding motor will be dependent on the Start/Stop
button from the front control panel and the optional pre-set counter.
It is recommended to tension the web before pressing the START button.

MAINTENANCE:
Your PM-300-CS requires no preventive maintenance but the rollers and capstan should
be cleaned regularly.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
•
This product is a reel-to reel mechanism (with optional counter). It is only to be used to
print (rewind/unwind) labels to of the recommended dimensions and weight in an indoor,
dry environment.
•
The machine has to be unplugged before any manipulation.
•
The machine is to be used on a flat surface.
•
Do not leave the power cable in a passageway.
•
The ambient light of the working area needs to be sufficient to avoid any risk.
•
The PM-300-CS can be used in ambient temperatures of +2°C to 40°C.
•
Connection of the machine to the power source must respect local and European
legislations.

Reel “Constant Speed” System
PM-300-CS with optional PC-3 dual-function counter and
Encoder.
The PM-300-CS has a nominal maximum speed of 61cm/sec. The speed is adjustable on
the front panel.
Optional counters
can be fit to the system:

The PC-2 is a pre-set label counter that allows stopping the machine after a pre-set
number of labels.
▪
The PC-3 has the same counter and pre-set possibilities as the PC-2 but can also be
programmed to indicate the speed at which the web is moving. A separate sheet
describes the programming details for this counter.
Optional encoder:
Resolution 2048 DPI.
