WARNING: It is recommended that the vacuum pump be located inside a fume hood or other laboratory
ventilation device if hazardous solvents are used in the CentriVap. If this is not possible, the vacuum
pump should have a hose attached to the exhaust port and the other end of the hose should be
positioned inside the fume hood or ventilation device.
Installation
Step 4. Vacuum Pump Set Up (Rotary Vane
pump shown)
Remove protective caps from inlet and outlet
ports.
Some vacuum pumps have inlet fittings that
screw into the inlet port. Make sure the O-ring
is on the sealing surface. Insert fitting into the
pump housing and tighten securely
Some vacuum pumps have inlet fittings that
clamp to the pump. Place the centering ring
with filter screen on the inlet fitting.
