4. DSP Processor
4.1 Processor Functionality
T he PD X DSP processor manipu l ates your signa l in the digita l domain, off ering tremendous fl exibi l ity and contro l . Y ou may contro l and program the DSP processor via
either the PD X amp l ifi er’s front pane l or remote l y by computer using the PD X Contro ll er software (avai l ab l e for down l oad from l abgruppen.com).
By using the DSP processor, you can program a ll amp l ifi er functions and parameters — except for the C H A and C H B input attenuation settings, which can on l y be
contro ll ed using the C H A / C H B knobs on the amp l ifi er’s front pane l .
4.2 Front Panel control
T he fo ll owing materia l describes the DSP’s screen organization and how to program the processor’s various functions by manipu l ating your PD X amp l ifi er’s
front pane l contro l s.

T he top- l eve l screen disp l ays the mode l name for your specifi c unit..
4.3 SETUP screens
T he S ET UP screens access the preset, pane l l ock, device naming, and LCD screen contrast functions. T o access these functions, press the S ET UP button, and then move
up and down through the top- l eve l screens by pressing either the S ET UP button or the UP / DOWN arrow buttons.
4.3.1 SETUP 1/4: Load Preset
T he top- l eve l Load Preset screen disp l ays the current Preset name (up to 10 characters) and Preset number (1 – 20). Subsidiary screens off er options for l oading, saving,
and naming Presets.
Be l ow the Preset name, this screen disp l ays the “ Load Preset ” option by defau l t. Rotate the S E L E C T encoder c l ockwise to access the “ Save Preset ” option.
N o t e : Preset # 1: I N IT_ DA T A cannot be overwritten. Se l ect this preset any time you want to restore the amp’s defau l t settings.
Loading a Preset
1. Make sure the “ Load Preset ” option appears on the screen. (Rotate the S E L E C T encoder to togg l e between “ Load Preset ” and “ Save Preset. ” )
2. Press the S E L E C T encoder knob to access the DSP’s interna l Preset l ist on the next sub-screen. T he correct sub-screen wi ll disp l ay the LOAD PR E S ET option in the
upper right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Scro ll up and down through the Preset l ist by rotating the S E L E C T encoder knob. As you scro ll , the Preset number wi ll appear to the l eft be l ow the disk icon.
4. T o l oad the se l ected Preset, you may either press the S E L E C T encoder or press the UP arrow button.
3.3 Front panel configuration
I nput mixing and routing, as we ll as a ll DSP parameters, may be confi gured using the PROC E SS button, S ET UP button, UP/DOWN buttons, EXIT button and the S E L E C T
rotary encoder. T he fo ll owing menu tree ( F ig. 4) is keyed to points in the signa l fl ow.
