Dashes, OF.L or stuck Temperature
This is generally a power related issue.
Batteries
may be overpowered or underpowered. Remove batteries from wireless
thermometer.
Press any button 20 times. Leave the thermometer unpowered for 1-2 hours.
Install fresh alkaline batteries with correct polarity.
If the indoor temperature is still dashes or OF.L, the thermometer may need replacement.
Time is off by hours.
This thermometer has manual set time.
Mount on Window
Thoroughly clean the window where the thermometer holder will attach.
Remove the mounting bracket from the thermometer by firmly grasping the edges and
pulling strait back.
Attach the mounting bracket to the outside of the window with the enclosed adhesive tape.
Hang the thermometer on the bracket by firmly pressing onto the mounting bracket until it is
flush.
Note:
The thermometer is fragile. Avoid bending or pulling on it when mounting or removing the
thermometer from the holder.
Remove from Window
The adhesive used to secure the thermometer is very strong and elastic. The best way to
remove the holder from the window is with a flat blade and patience.
Remove the window thermometer from the holder.
Gently slide a flat blade beneath one end of the holder. Lift slowly and gently allowing the
adhesive to slowly stretch and finally release from the window. Repeat the process on the
other side.
This takes several minutes to accomplish. Be careful not to damage the window.
New adhesive will be required to remount. Check in your local hardware store.
Accuracy
Since no window is a perfect insulator, it is possible that this temperature skew is caused by
heat leakage through the window pane.
