control valve.

The safety control valve must be replaced if any
physical damage occurs to the valve.

Failure to follow this warning will result in fire or
explosion, leading to sever injury, death, or property

1. Disconnect the heater from its electrical supply and
close all fuel supply valves to the inlet of the heater.
2. Remove the case top from the heater.
3. Disconnect the electrical leads from the backflash
switch. Remove the mounting screw from the
switch’s support bracket.
4. The replacement switch ships attached to its
mounting bracket. Mount the replacement switch
and reconnect the electrical leads to the switch.
5. Spacing gap of switch to burner plate should be 1/4
inch. Adjust as necessary.
6. Reinstall the case top.
7. Reconnect the heater to its electrical supply and open
all fuel supply valves to the heater.
8. Start the heater and check for proper operation.

GAS CONTROL VALVE
1. Disconnect the heater from its electrical supply and
close all fuel supply valves to the heater.
2. Remove either case side panel.
3. Remove the cap on the underside of the control valve.
4. Connect a pressure gauge at this point, capable of
reading up to 35 in. W.C. (L.B. White gauge part
number 00764.)
5. Reconnect the heater to its electrical supply and open
the fuel supply valves to the heater.
6. Light the heater.
7. When the burner lights, the flowing gas pressure
must be 11 in. W.C. If it is not, either of the following
conditions exist:
a. Gas control inlet screen is plugged with debris.
Clean out the screen with compressed air or
replace if necessary.
b. Single stage regulator is out of adjustment.
Replace the regulator.
8. After checking, remove gas gauge. Reinstall cap
(tighten securely). Reconnect the heater to electrical
supply, and open the fuel supply valves to the heater.
