This is the last feature in the Crypto Card Management function. Press
MENU
to clear the display.
6-7. ZEROIZE
TERMINAL
The ZEROIZE TERMINAL menu (

) may be accessed by all authorized users.
CAUTION
Do not use the ZEROIZE function as a means of trying to clear problems in the
STE terminal. Follow the recommended maintenance procedures.
When the ZEROIZE TERMINAL function is initiated, all configuration settings are reset to, the STE’s
default values as shown in
. In addition, terminal user associations including the
current TPA are removed. However, if the Initial Secure Mode had been set to “Secure-Only” the setting
is retained. Audit Information is also retained after zeroizing the STE.
To zeroize the terminal, press
MENU
and then press
SCROLL
twice to display the ZEROIZE TERMINAL
menu (
