5-1.2.2 Prepare Remote Association
The PREPARE REMOTE ASSOCIATION menu provides the ability to prepare a Carry Card used to
transfer you to another STE. Detailed procedures are provided in Paragraph
4-2.4 .
5-1.3 Transfer TPA Privileges
This feature is only available if the TPA has set a password that can be used to access the function
described in Paragraph
4-3.2 .
5-1.4 Audible Alerts
All authorized users may use this function to enable or disable the audible alerts, such as the ring and the
user action audible feedback (beeps). Refer to the menu hierarchy shown in the foldouts and the default
setting shown in
Table 5-1 . The AUDIBLE ALERTS menu ( Figure 5-13 ) is accessed in one of two ways:
1. Press SCROLL in the REMOVE CRYPTO CARD ASSOCIATION/PREPARE REMOTE
ASSOCIATION menu ( Figure 5-10 ), or
2. If the STE is in an idle state, press MENU , SELECT , and then SCROLL as necessary until the
display ( Figure 5-13 ) appears.

Press CHANGE to make desired setting.
Press SCROLL if no changes are required or after changes have been made.
5-1.5 Terminal Control
When the Remote Control feature (Paragraph 4-5.1.3 ) is activated by the TPA this feature is accessible to
all users when. Refer to the Terminal Control default settings shown in Table 5-1 .
Control of your STE may be from the FRONT PANEL (default setting) or from a device connected to the
Host Port ( RED SERIAL DATA PORT ). The menu ( Figure 5-14 ) is accessed in one of two ways:
1. Press SCROLL in the AUDIBLE ALERTS menu ( Figure 5-13 ), or
2. If the STE is in an idle state, press MENU , SELECT and then SCROLL as necessary until the
display ( Figure 5-14 ) appears.
The current state control state will be displayed.
