To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not immerse or expose the Multi-
function Kettle to rain, moisture or any liquid; avoid spillage on the power
cord, base, or any connectors of the unit.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
This KYOWA Multi-function Kettle is intended for normal
domestic/household use only. This unit is not suitable for commercial use.
HOW TO USE
Remove all packaging materials from the Multi-function Kettle.
Wash kettle with lukewarm water before using for the first time.
Fill the Multi-function Kettle with water, or any food with enough liquid
reaching the MIN mark but not exceeding the MAX marking to prevent
overflowing when boiling.
Place the kettle on the base.
Make sure the kettle is turned to OFF before connecting the plug to the
power outlet.
Plug power cord to outlet.
Turn ON kettle by rotating heating control clockwise up to the desired
heating level. Power Indicator Lamp will light up.
Multi-function Kettle will automatically cut off power once maximum
heating temperature has been reached and water inside the unit has dried
out – this is to avoid the unit from overheating. Once the unit cools down,
Multi-function Kettle will automatically switch to ON again.
Turn off power by rotating heating control knob counter-clockwise to OFF.
Discard water when boiling for the first time.
CLEAN AND CARE
After every use, wash the Multi-function Kettle unit with warm soapy
water.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents or any metallic and sharp objects
(e.g. scrubbing brush or knife) for cleaning.
Use a moist cloth to wipe the Multi-function Kettle.
Do not use dishwasher to clean any part of the Multi-function Kettle.
After washing, wipe dry all parts and store in a cool, dry place.
Remove lime scaling when you observe an excess of steam or boiling time
takes too long. If the water in your area is alkaline rich, it is highly
recommended to remove lime scaling every two months. To do so:
Dilute 50ml vinegar in 1 liter of water and fill the kettle with the
mixture. Bring to a boil then switch Multi-function Kettle to OFF.
Allow mixture to stand overnight.
Bring the mixture to boil again then discard it. Clean the Multi-
function Kettle with warm soapy water. To eliminate vinegar
residues, operate the Multi-function Kettle with water for two cycles.
Remove plastic odor from the kettle by filling in cold water and adding a
teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. Bring to a boil then discard water. Rinse
kettle thoroughly before use.
SERVICE
Do not operate your KYOWA Multi-function Kettle if the unit malfunctions
or appears damaged in any manner. Bring the complete product to the
place of purchase or to any authorized KYOWA dealers for inspection,
repair or replacement.
Do not disassemble the Multi-function Kettle by yourself. No user
serviceable parts inside. Refer all service to an authorized KYOWA service
facility ONLY.
