 M3 and M2.

Rubber Sealing Boot to Protect the Antenna’s Cable Connection

A rubber boot is provided with the antenna cable to help protect the 
cable connection from the elements. An extension is supplied in the 
kitpack in case you need to use a right-angle connector. Follow the 
guidelines below to use these sealing components.

• When routing the cable belowdecks, be sure to keep the end with 

the rubber boot at the antenna site so that you can install the boot 

at the antenna’s cable connection. 

• If you are using a right-angle connector, place the right-angle 

rubber boot extension onto the end of the cable before you connect 

it. Then, after you connect the cable, slide the extension up the 

cable until it covers the right-angle connector.

• Once you have connected the cable to the antenna, slide the rubber 

boot up the cable until it covers the connector. If you are using a 

right-angle connector, be sure the boot mates with the extension, as 

shown below.
