Safety
Risk of injury when coupling
There is an increased risk of injury when coupling the machine to the
tractor. Therefore
•
Secure the tractor to prevent it from rolling
•
Do not stand between tractor and machine when coupling
•
Lift and lower the machine slowly
Coupling
To couple the machine to the tractor
> Connect the lower links of the tractor to the hitch couplings
> Connect the toplink of the tractor to the headstock of the machine
> Stabilise the tractor’s lift rods
> Raise the parking stand
> Check the linkage geometry (see below)
Linkage geometry
The linkages of the tractor should preferably form a trapezoid. This is
influenced by the placement of the hitch couplings.
Machines with adaptable hitch couplings
To adjust the placement of the hitch couplings
> Loosen screws
> Adjust the hitch couplings to the desired position
> Tighten screws. Tighten with 60 - 65 kpm (589 - 638 Nm)
Machines without adaptable hitch couplings
Position changes of rod type 1 are limited, depending on the place-
ment of the tines. Use adaptable hitch couplings instead.
