Preparation for use

Installing the appliance

Unpack­the­appliance,­remove­ad­he­si­ve­tapes­securing­the­door­and­equipment.­Any­

glue­residues­can­be­removed­with­a­mild­cleaning­agent.

Do­not­throw­out­the­styrofoam­packaging­elements.­If­the­re­fri­ge­ra­tor­has­to­be­

transported­again,­it­shall­be­packaged­in­the­styrofoam­elements­and­plastic­foil­and­­

se­cu­red­with­adhesive­tape.

Wash the interior of the re fri ge ra tor and the equipment ele ments with te pid water 

with­ad­di­tion­of­­­di­sh­wa­shing­agent,­then­wipe­and­dry.

Install­the­refrigerator­in­a­dry,well-ven­ti­la­ted­place,­protected­from­sun­li­ght,­away­

from­heat­­sources­like­kit­chen­cookers,­cen­tral­heating­ra­dia­tors­etc.

­

If­installing­near­a­heat­source­can­not­be­avoided,­use­an­­ap­pro­pria­te­insulating­plate­­

or con form to the following minimum di stan ces:

-­from­electric,­gas­or­other­cookers­–­3­m
-­from­oil­or­coal­stoves­–­30­cm.

In­case­of­installing­adjacent­to­­ano­ther­refrigerator­or­freezer­it­is­ne­ces­sa­ry­to­

maintain­the­mi­ni­mum­side­clearance­of­2­cm.

Make­sure­the­appliance­is­level­by­ap­pro­pria­te­ly­turning­2­ad­ju­sta­ble­front­feet.

After­installation­make­sure­that­the­appliance­does­not­rest­on­the­power­cord.

In order to guarantee free ope ning of the door the distance be twe en the side wall of the 
appliance (with the hinges) and the wall of the room shall be at least 5 cm.

Any­handling­of­the­parts­of­the­refrigerating­unit­is­forbidden.­Special­care­should­be­

used­to­avoid­any­damage­to­the­ca­pil­la­ry­tube­(Fig.­6­(1))­visible­in­the­­compressor­

re­cess.­The­tube­shall­not­be­bent,­stra­igh­te­ned­or­coiled.­

 

Any damage to the capillary tube caused by the user shall result in loss of war­
ranty rights.

Earthing­of­the­appliance­is­required­by­law.­The­ma­nu­fac­tu­rer­re­jects­any­responsibili-

ty­for­da­ma­ge­to­persons­or­property­due­to­lack­of­observance­of­that­re­qu­ire­ment.

Do­not­use­any­adapter­con­nec­tors,­distributor­connectors,­two-wire­exten­sion­cords.­

If it is necessary to use an exten sion cord, it has to be a single­socket cord with 

a protective plug, covered by a sa fe ty cer ti fi ca te.

If­an­extension­cord­(with­a­pro­tec­ti­ve­plug,­covered­by­a­sa­fe­ty­cer­ti­fi­ca­te)­is­used,­

its­socket­shall­be­placed­at­a­safe­distance­from­kit­chen­sinks,­protected­aga­inst­flo-

oding­with­water,­se­wa­ge,­fluids­boiling­over­from­ves­sels­pla­ced­on­co­okers.
