Repairing a Basic hob
1. Try to switch on the touch control. If the touch control switches on, all the direct currents and the LIN
BUS will be present (picture 1)
• If the currents are present but the 7-segment displays fail to light up
=>replace the TC
• If there are no currents =>
replace the CU
2. If the TC switches on, measure the voltage on the CU output (picture 2). When the TC is switched on,
230V~ will be measured on terminal lugs X9 to X14 and X11 to X16
If 230V~are applied at the output, the TC will be in working order.
If 230V~ are not applied at the output, the IGBTs of the IHEs will need to be checked (see IHE short-
circuit test) =>replace the CU and defect IHE
If the test shows that the IHEs are in good working order and no 230V~ can be measured =>replace
the CU.
3. If voltages are applied to the CU output, the IHEs will all be supplied with power.
IHEs that are not defect can be switched on and used as usual.
Defect IHEs will show an error code, e.g. "E4" (see Basic Ind error readout).
4. If an IHE shows "E4", try to configure the IHE (see Configuration Basic).
If the IHE cannot be configured or if it shows another error code, it will be defect and will need to be
replaced =>replace IHE.
