Lock /child safety device

The lock can be used to block operation and settings (e.g. power setting 4).
Only the ON/OFF key can be used to switch the hob off.
The lock can be activated both when the hob is switched on and when it is
switched off. An activated lock will remain activated even if the hob is
switched off! The lock hence also serves as a child safety device in order to
prevent the hob from being operated unintentionally or intentionally.

Activating the lock

1.

Press the key for the lock

until the buzzer sounds. The control

lamp for the lock will light up and go off after a few seconds. The lock has
been activated and the control sensors cannot be operated.

De-activating the lock

2.

Press the key for the lock

until the buzzer sounds. The control

lamp for the lock will go off and the lock will have been deactivated.

Deactivated lock: please note

If the

ON/OFF key

or any other button (apart from the lock key

) is

pressed, a buzzer will sound and the control lamp for the lock will light up
briefly to remind the user that the lock has been activated.

Automatic boost function

Parboiling takes place at power level 9 with the automatic boost function.
After a certain time the power level will switch down automatically to a lower
simmering setting (1 to 8).
When using the automatic boost function only the simmering setting with
which the food is to be cooked through needs to be selected since the
electronic unit switches down automatically.
The automatic boost function is suitable for dishes which are cold initially and
are then heated up at high power. These dishes do not need to be constantly
monitored when simmering (e.g. boiling meat for soups).

1. Press the

ON/OFF key

   to switch on the hob.

2. Press the

 Plus key

once to immediately set the power level at 9. The

decimal point in the power setting display will light up for 10 seconds.
The button must be pressed again within 10 seconds otherwise the
decimal point will no longer light up.

3.

Press the Minus key

several times to select a simmering setting from

1-8. The automatic parboiling mode will then have been activated.

4. The automatic boost function will operate as programmed. After a certain

time (see chart) the cooking process will be continued with the simmering
setting.

Cutting off the automatic parboil mode:

Set the power setting at “0”.
Note
If the required cooking level is selected after the decimal point has switched
off, the automatic boost function will not be activated.
