6. Working with the camera
The maximum illuminated pipe diameter depends greatly on the degree of
reflection of the pipe‘s inner wall. Generally, a dark surface absorbs the light, a
bright and wet surface reflects the light more intensely. Illumination in larger pipe
diameters is improved by a stronger reflection.
1. Turn the wing nut (fig. 1) counterclockwise
to reduce the braking force of the freewheel
brake.
2. Turn the knob for the reel lock (fig. 2). The
lock pin releases the reel.
3. Slightly unreel the push rod and turn the
knob for the reel lock (fig. 2) to set the lock
pin again.
4. Connect the camera to the push rod via
the plug-and-socket connector. Make sure
the connecting pins are positioned correctly
(fig. 3). Only hand tighten the sleeve to pre-
vent the pins from breaking (fig. 4)!
Dismounting
To disconnect the camera from the push rod,
proceed in the reverse order.
5. Mounting/dismounting camera
Mounting
The reels possess a freewheel brake to regulate the push rod‘s free movement.
Thus, unwanted coasting of the push rod and unreeling impediments can be
avoided.
