Instructions (Cont.)
Step 4: Place the tin in the process chamber
Holding the baking tin by the handle, place it in the process chamber. If it
does not seem to fit properly, move the tin a little and press down firmly on
both sides of the rim until it clicks securely into place. Fold down the handle
and close the lid firmly.
Step 5: Add extra ingredients
Grains, nuts, seeds or dried fruit pieces should be added to the automatic
ingredient dispenser for release into the dough at the right time. Do not add
more than fit into the dispenser with the lid closed. If required, you may add
more when the extra ingredients are released (see page 21).
Step 6: Connect to power
Plug in the bread maker and switch on power at the outlet. Your appliance will
now switch on, emit a sound signal and the display screen will be activated.
You are now ready to make your program selection.
Step 7: Select the program, crust colour and loaf weight
Press the MENU button, repeatedly, to select the desired program.
If appropriate, set the crust colour and loaf weight by pressing the CRUST
COLOUR and LOAF WEIGHT buttons, repeatedly, until the arrow on the
display screen points to your preferred option.
Step 8: Set the timer (optional)
If you want to set a delay timer, press the TIMER+ button and set the timer, as
described on page 22. (This step is not necessary if you want the machine to
start the program immediately.)
Step 9: Start the program
Press the START/PAUSE button to launch the program. During the dough
kneading process the machine will emit 8 beep sounds to signal that any
extra ingredients will now be added to the dough.
IMPORTANT!
• The yeast must be on top of the flour when using the delay timer so it
does not get mixed with water or salt, which will affect the yeast activity.
• Do NOT use perishable ingredients when selecting a delayed start!
