 SAFE OPERATION

Most loader equipment accidents can be avoided by following simple safety precautions.
These safety precautions, if followed at all times, will help you operate your attachment safely.

1.  BEFORE OPERATING THE ATTACHMENT

1.

Know  your  equipment  and  its  limitations.  Allow  only
trained  personnel  to  operate  or  service  this
equipment.

2.

Read and understand all instructions and precautions
found  in  both  this,  and  the  tractor  and  loader
operator's manuals before using the attachment. Lack
of knowledge can lead to accidents.

3.

It  is  the  owner's  responsibility  to  ensure  that  anyone
who  will  operate  the  attachment  reads  the  relevant
manuals  first,  and  becomes  familiar  with  safe
operation.

4.

Visually  check  for  hydraulic  leaks  and  broken,
missing,  or  malfunctioning  parts.  Make  necessary
repairs before operating.

5.

Replace  damaged  or  illegible  safety  labels.  See
following pages for required labels.

6.

Assemble,  remove  and  reinstall  the  attachment  only
as  directed  in  this  manual.  Failure  to  do  this  could
result in serious personal injury or death.

7.

Check that all nuts, bolts, and pins are properly fitted
and tightened to specification

8.

Ensure that the approved counterweight and tires are
fitted to the tractor.

9.

Follow  the  precautions  below  when  attaching
attachments.

Make  sure  the  bucket  is  correctly  attached  to  the

loader using the supplied pins.  Secure the pins using
the fasteners supplied.

Make sure the spill guard control  lever  is attached to

the bucket before operating.  Refer to Loader Manual
for checking and calibration of the spill guard system.

  Make sure the hydraulic 3

rd

 function is connected.

Kubota  recommends  the  use  of  Kubota  attachments

on Kubota Loaders.

The  use  of  a  non-Kubota  attachment  may  result  in

deformation  of  the  loader,  causing  loss  of
performance, personal injury or death.

2.  OPERATING THE ATTACHMENT

1.

Follow  the  instructions  set  out  in  the  Loader  and
tractor operators manual.

2.

Operate the attachment only when properly seated at
the controls. Do not operate from the ground.

3.

Move  and  turn  the  tractor  at  low  speeds.  (less  than
10km/h)

4.

Never allow anyone to get under the loader bucket or
reach  through  the  boom  when  the  bucket  is  raised
(unless properly supported).

5.

Keep  children,  others  and  livestock  away  when
operating attachment/loader and tractor.

6.

Do  not  walk  or  work  under  a  raised  loader  bucket  or
attachment unless it is securely blocked.

7.

For  tractor  stability  and  operator  safety,  rear  ballast
must be added to the 3-point hitch

8.

Do  not  lift  or  carry  any  person  on  the  loader,  in  the
bucket.

9.

Avoid overhead wires and obstacles when the  loader
is  raised.  Contacting  electric  lines  can  cause
electrocution.

10.  Use caution when handling loose or shiftable loads.
11.  Using  loaders  for  handling  large,  heavy,  or  shiftable

objects  is  not  recommended  without  proper  handling
attachments.

12.  Handling  large  heavy  objects  can  be  extremely

dangerous due to :

Danger of rolling the tractor over.

  Danger of upending the tractor.

Danger of the object rolling or sliding down the loader

boom onto the operator.

13.  If you must perform this sort of work (item 11 and 12),

protect yourself by :

Never  lift the  load  higher than  necessary to clear the

ground.

Ensure  that  the  Rated  Operating  Load  is  not

exceeded.

Always use the recommended counter weight.

Never  lift  large  objects  with  attachments  that  may

permit them to roll back onto the operator.

Move slowly and carefully, avoiding rough terrain.

14.  Never lift or pull a load from any point on the loader or

attachment  with  a  chain,  rope,  sling,  or  cable.  Doing
so  could  cause  a  rollover  or  serious  damage  to  the
loader.

3.  AFTER OPERATING THE ATTACHMENT

1.

When loader work is complete and parking or storing,
choose flat and  hard ground. Lower the loader boom
to  the  ground,  stop  the  engine,  set  the  brakes  and
remove the key before leaving the tractor seat.

2.

Make sure the attachment  is on a  hard,  level  surface
before detaching.

3.

Before  disconnecting  hydraulic  lines,  relieve  all
hydraulic  pressure  by  moving  the  3rd  Function
Control (engine off, ignition on).
