Changing the basic position of the brake pedal *
The basic setting of the foot brake pedal can be changed by turning the end
stop roller

. Using the push rod

, the free play on the foot brake pedal
must be set.
Measured on the outside, the foot brake pedal must have 3-5 mm of free
play, before the push rod can move the piston in the brake cylinder (to be
recognised from the resistance on the foot brake pedal).

Check the rear brake fluid level
The reservoir for the rear disc brake is located above the main brake
cylinder. The level of brake fluid may not fall below the „MIN” mark when
the vehicle has been left standing upright

Refilling the rear brake fluid reservoir*
When the brake fluid level has dropped to the MIN mark, you need to refill
the brake fluid reservoir. This is done by first unscrewing the cap

and
rubber bellows

. Add brake fluid DOT 5.1 (Shell Advance Brake DOT 5.1)
until it reaches the MAX mark, then screw rubber bellows and cap back on.
Rinse off spilled or overflowing brake fluid with water.

Checking the rear brake pads
The brake pads can be inspected from the rear. The thickness of the linings
may not be less than 1 mm (0.04 in).
