3.5 Fiber Connections
The switch provides two fiber slots. Each can accommodate one optional
fiber module for your fiber connection. Depending on the fiber interface
and the types of fiber cables, the following fiber modules are available for
selection:

Swisthed port 1 and port 3 supports two types of connections. One type
is UTP connection through Port 1X and 3X respectively. The other is
fiber connection through slot FX-1 and FX-2 respectively. Both types of
connections can not be used at the same time. Each fiber module pro-
vides optional jumpers to enable or disable fiber connection.
