accessories manufacturer.
If problems occur that are not described in the following table, consultation with the
KSB
customer service is required.
A
Pump is running, but does not deliver
B
Pump is running, but not enough output or pressure
C
Motor does not start, or motor stops and re-starts intermittently
D
The start-up and stop pressures have changed (Multi Eco-Top only)

2)
✘
-
-
- The pump has not been primed with water.
Prime the pump prior to commissioning.
✘ ✘
-
- Suction head is too high.
Reduce suction head.
✘
-
-
- Suction line is leaking or damaged.
Seal the connections or inspect line for damage.
✘
-
-
- The suction line has not been laid with enough
slope, resulting in an air pocket.
Check the slope of the suction line.
✘
-
-
- Suction strainer in tilted position, check valve does
not shut off tightly.
Restore suction strainer to the vertical and weigh
it down if necessary.
✘
-
-
- Air cannot escape as discharge side is closed.
Open the discharge side.
✘ ✘
-
- Wrong direction of rotation
Check the electrical connection.
-
✘
-
- Air intake at suction strainer
Check whether suction strainer is sufficiently
immersed and water reservoir is sufficiently filled.
-
✘
-
- Suction strainer or sand filter fully or partially
clogged.
Check position of suction strainer.
Clean suction strainer and sand filter.
-
✘
-
- Excessive pressure loss in the piping
Check whether piping diameter is too small or
piping is clogged.
-
-
✘
- Power failure or disturbance
Check fuses and cable.
-
-
✘
- Thermal switch integrated in the motor trips.
Check whether mains voltage matches the voltage
indicated on the motor name plate.
Verify sufficient ventilation.
Ensure that the motor ventilation openings are
unobstructed.
-
-
-
✘
Pressure switch trips as system pressure is higher
than the set pressure.
Change switching points to check if the pump
starts. (See pressure switch settings)
-
-
-
✘
Pressure switch has not tripped as pressure is
below the lower switching point.
-
-
-
✘
Accumulator pre-charge pressure has changed.
Use a car tyre pump to restore the original pre-
charge pressure.
Caution! Do not fill in flammable gases!
2)
Pull the pump plug before carrying out any assembly, dismantling or other work on the pump set. Pump pressure must be
released before attempting to remedy faults on parts which are subjected to pressure.
