Wash the filter holder and filter under running water to remove any remaining
grounds (21).
For best results, we recommend that you preheat the accessories in advance (filter
holder, filter and cup) following the steps below without adding coffee.
Leave your appliance to cool if you have made five 50ml coffees consecutively.
With a soft pod
Your machine is compatible with soft pods (generally 60mm in diameter). Given that this
type of pod is not specifically designed for espresso machines, you will obtain a less
intense coffee than with ground coffee.
Fill the water tank with water at room temperature and place it back on the
appliance (3-4).
Switch on the appliance by pressing the on/off button (6).
The light flashes while it is preheating and then remains on. The appliance is now
ready to use (7).
Unlock the filter holder by turning it to the left (16). Place a soft pod in the one cup
filter (F1). Pods are designed to make one cup of coffee. Using two pods on top of
each other is not recommended (22).
Insert the filter holder into the appliance, pushing it firmly to the right as far as it
will go (8).
To prepare your espresso, follow the procedure for preparing an espresso with
ground coffee.
Leave your appliance to cool if you have made five coffees consecutively.
STEAM FEATURE – Using the Super Cappuccino Nozzle
IMPORTANT! To prevent hot splashes, check that the super cappuccino
nozzle is in the correct position before releasing steam. Do not remove
the nozzle during the flow of milk.
This nozzle makes it easier to prepare cappuccinos and caffe lattes (23). This piece is
comprised of a special two-position nozzle (cappuccino or latte) and a silicone tube.
Connect this tube to the nozzle, as illustrated in figure 23.
Please note: The hose must not be twisted
Tightly fasten the nozzle to the swivel arm with a twist from right to left (24).
Select either the cappuccino or caffe latte position on the special nozzle (25)
Place a cup under the super cappuccino nozzle and pour some semi-skimmed milk in a
container (60 to 100 ml). The milk must be fresh and cold. Plunge the silicone tube (bevelled
end) in the container (26). We advise against plunging the tube directly into a carton of milk.
To produce steam, turn the selector knob to the Pre-heat position (D1-3) (10).
The on/off indicator blinks again, and then stays lit (7). The appliance is then ready for use.
Turn the selector knob to the steam position (D1-4) (27).
Once you have made enough frothed milk, turn the selector knob to position 0 (12) to
stop the cycle (we recommend stopping the cycle before the container is completely
empty). At this time, the appliance automatically cools itself off by intermittently
initiating pumping cycles. Once this automatic operation is completed, you can start
preparing a coffee after you have placed your cup of frothed milk under the filter
holder. Your drink is now ready to be enjoyed (28).
