Defining the VP-483 PC/Component to 3G HD-SDI 
Scaler 

This section defines the 

VP-483

Feature 

 Function 

ON

 LED 

Lights green when the unit is powered on 

COMPONENT IN

  LED 

Lights green when a component video signal is detected on the 
input 

MENU

 Button 

Press to display the OSD (On-screen Display) menu. 
When the OSD is not displayed, press together with the 

– button 

to set the output resolution to 720p (1280x720)  

ENTER

 Button 

In the OSD, press to select the highlighted menu item. 
When the OSD is not displayed, press together with the + button 
to set the output resolution to 1080p 

– / AUTO ADJUST

 Button 

In OSD, press to move backward through the list or to 
decrement the parameter value. When not in OSD, press to 
automatically adjust the picture to fit the display 

FREEZE

 Button 

In the OSD, press to step down through the options or to 
increment the parameter value.  
When the OSD is not displayed, press to freeze/unfreeze the 
display 

PC/COMPONENT IN 15-
pin HD connector 

Connects to a PC graphics or component video source 

AUDIO IN LEFT 

RCA 

Connector 

Connects to the left channel of the unbalanced stereo audio 
source 

AUDIO IN RIGHT 

RCA 

Connector 

Connects to the right channel of the unbalanced stereo audio 
source

SDI OUT 1

 BNC 

Connector 

Connects to SDI acceptor 1. The signal is reclocked and 
equalized

SDI OUT

 2 BNC 

Connector 

Connects to SDI acceptor 2. The signal is reclocked and 
equalized

5V DC 

Connect to the +5V DC power adapter, center pin positive
