3 Overview
The
PS-1DVI
is used to power DVI for Optical DVI Extension Cables

.
Optical DVI cables, such as the Kramer
C-FODM/FODM-328
, require a
+5V
internal power supplied through a DVI pin (#14) from the graphic card. When
the computer system is incapable of supplying 500mA, the
PS-1DVI
provides
the power to the cable’s Tx/Rx modules.
