▶ Health damage caused by hand-arm vibrations if the
equipment is used over a prolonged period or is not
properly guided and maintained.
BEFORE STARTING THE
EQUIPMENT
Before you connect the equipment to the mains supply
make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical
to the mains data.
WARNING!
Always pull the power plug before making adjustments
to the equipment.
Check the drilling point for concealed electrical cables,
gas and water pipes using a cable/pipe detector.
Additional handle
For safety reasons you must only use the demolition ham
-
mer with the additional handle. The additional handle
enables you to achieve better stability whilst using the
demolition hammer. The additional handle can be turned
into any required position. Undo the screw by turning it in
the “+” direction. Now turn the additional handle into the
most comfortable working position for yourself and then
tighten the screw again by turning it in the “-” direction.
Tool insertion
▶ Clean the tool before insertion and apply a thin coat
-
ing of drill bit grease to the shaft of the tool.
▶ Pull back and hold the locking sleeve.
▶ Insert the dust-free tool into the tool mounting as far
as it will go whilst turning it. The tool will lock itself.
▶ Check that it is properly secure by pulling the tool.
Tool removal
Pull back and hold the locking sleeve and remove the tool.
Chisel lock
When the chisel lock is pressed, you can turn the inserted
chisel into the required position.
▶ Press the chisel lock towards the inserted chisel.
▶ While holding the chisel lock, turn the chisel into the
required position.
▶ Let go of the chisel lock again.
NOTE:
Turn the chisel to check whether it is securely seated.
OPERATION
IMPORTANT!
To avoid danger, the machine must only be held using the
two handles. Otherwise you may suff er an electric shock
if you chisel into cables.
Switching On and Off
Switching on:
Press the On/Off switch.
Continuous operation:
Secure the On/Off switch with the On/Off switch lock.
Switching off :
Press the On/Off switch briefl y or let go.
Practical tips
Sharpening chisel tools.
You will only achieve good results if you use sharp chis
-
els. You should therefore sharpen the chisels promptly
to ensure that they produce good results and provide a
long service life.
NOTICE!
You only require slight contact pressure for chiseling.
Excessive contact pressure will place an unnecessary
strain on the motor. Check the chisels at regular inter
-
vals. Sharpen or replace blunt chisels.
REPLACING THE POWER
CABLE
DANGER!
If the power cable for this equipment is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales ser
-
vice or similarly trained personnel to avoid danger.
CLEANING AND
MAINTENANCE
DANGER!
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any
cleaning work.
Cleaning
▶ Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor hous
