8.2.2 Log Placement
1. Position #1 log onto the back log brackets, aligning the holes
in the bottom of the log with log bracket pins. Position the
notch over the pilot shield.
LP GAS MODELS: Position back log to create 1/4 in (6mm)
air space between the front of the log and the back of
burner.
NATURAL GAS MODELS: Position back log so the front
side of the log rests against the backside of the burner
tube.
2. Position #2 log cutouts over log grate. Align the log’s left side
alignment hole over the pin on the front of the log brackets.
Push to seat.
3. Position #3 log cutouts over log grate. Align the log’s right
side alignment hole over the pin on the front of the log
brackets. Push to seat.
4. Position #11 log, #12 log, and #6 log onto the corresponding
cutouts / notches on the base logs. The #6 log must not
extend over the front of #2 log.
5. Position #7 log, #8 log, and #9 log onto the corresponding
cutouts and notches located on the base logs, center logs,
and the log grate.
6. Use a steel or stiff bristle nylon brush to distribute rock wool
embers onto logs and burner.
7. Randomly place klinkers in front of the log set and log grate.
Do not place directly on burner ports.
