2.3 Safety Barrier Dimensions
WARNING: A barrier designed to reduce the risk of burns from the hot
viewing glass is provided with this appliance and shall be installed for
the protection of children and other at-risk individuals.
If the barrier becomes damaged, the barrier shall be replaced with
Hussong Mfg.’s barriers for this appliance. Only doors certified with the
appliance shall be used.
IMPORTANT: Consider the height of hearth finish material when
building a fireplace platform. Proper installation of safety barriers
require the bottom of the fireplace to be level with finished hearth.
NOTE: Safety screen B41-PTF requires the fireplace to be 2-1/4” (57
mm) above the hearth and 3” (76 mm) clearance from the outside edge
to a sidewall.
