MIN, nor highe r than MAX. If it is lower than MIN., water could damage the heating elemen ts. If it is
higher than MAX., boiling water could come out while boiling.
3. Place the appliance on the electric base making the two part s match completely.
4. Plug the cord. Make sure the spout points far from your body.
5. Press the ON/OFF switch. The indicator lights up, which means tha t the appliance is working
properly.
6. When boiling temperature is reached, the appliance and the indicator light will switch off auto-
matically. You can stop the boiling process at any moment by lifting the appliance from the base.
7. Pour the hot water into the desired container making sure water comes out of the spout.
Automatic safety system:
1. This appliance is provided with an automatic safety system that protects the appliance from
damages provoked by improper use. If the appliance is accidentally operated without wat er or if
water evaporates completely, the automatic safety system will switch off the appliance immediate-
ly.
2. Should this happen, unplug the appliance immediately, let it cool down (it takes about 15-20 sec-
onds), then fill the kettle again.
Anti-scale treatment:
1. If the appliance switches off before water boils, you should carry out the anti-scale treatment.
2. This appliance is compatible with all anti-scale agents. It is recommended to follow strictly the
indications
3. you will find on the anti-scale product you use. Fill the kettle with a quantity of anti-scale pr od-
uct far lower than the MAX. mark, as anti-scale products froth during the treatment and may come
out of the kettle.
4. After the anti-scale treatment, boil water several times in order to eliminate any residue of the
chemical agent you used. Finally, rinse it with running water.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Before carrying out any cleaning operation, unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
2. Do not use abrasive sponges or too aggressive detergents.
3. Do not immerse the cord, the plug, the base and the kettle into water or another liqu id. Clean the
housing of the appliance with a damp cloth.
4. For a correct use, the appliance needs an anti-scale treatment. The frequency of the treatment
depends on the hardness of water.
