3. OPERATION AND EFFICIENCY
DEFROSTING OPERATION
The evaporator in the dehumidifier allows automatic defrosting when the ap-
pliance is used at a room temperature below 18°C. If necessary, defrosting will
start automatically for about 5 minutes every 25 minutes.
• During the defrosting operation, the dehumidification function may be inter-
rupted.
• Do not turn off the switch or unplug the dehumidifier during defrosting ope-
ration.
NOTE: The dehumidifier is designed to lower the humidity level in the air, and
therefore it cannot be used to keep the room temperature extremely low.
Room temperature increases during operation.
This dehumidifier has no cooling function. During operation, the unit will produ-
ce heat causing the room temperature to rise (1 to 4 °C higher, depending on
the size of the room and conditions of use). This temperature increase can be
very noticeable in small spaces.
Dehumidification capacity
The following illustration shows the daily dehumidification capacity of the dehu-
midifier. This capacity is based on a temperature up to 30°C room temperature
set by the dehumidifier, 80% relative humidity and data when the air output is
at its maximum. At different temperatures and relative humidity, the dehumi-
dification capacity may vary. At the same ambient temperature, the dehumi-
dification capacity is higher at high relative humidity and lower at low relative
humidity. At the same relative humidity, the dehumidification capacity is higher
at higher temperatures and lower at lower temperatures. If the dehumidifier is
placed in small spaces, its dehumidification capacity can be greatly reduced
in a short period after operation, i.e. the humidity in the room in question has
been greatly reduced in a short time.
