RECHARGING THE AUTOGUARD: 

The AutoGuard can be charged from the 12V battery of the 
vehicle through the cigarette lighter as well as from a standard home
power outlet.

TO RECHARGE FROM A VEHICLE-

Plug one end of the 12V Connector

Cord (22) into the 12V Power Socket (08) on the AutoGuard. Plug the other
end of the cord into the 12V cigarette lighter in the vehicle. Unplug when
the Power Indicator Light (16) on the AutoGuard turns green. The battery
capacity could reach 85% after 20 minutes of recharging and 98% after 2
hours of continual recharging.

TO RECHARGE FROM HOME-

Plug the AC Power Adapter (20)

(12V0.5A) into the AC Adapter Input (01) on the AutoGuard. Plug  the other
end into a standard home power outlet. Unplug when the Power Indicator
Light (16) on the AutoGuard turns green. Full charge from a home outlet
will take approximately 10 hours. To avoid damage, do not overcharge the
battery.

NOTE: 

The standard of 12V/0.5A AC adapter is recommended for use. Recharging 

power cannot exceed over 0.78A.

CHECKING THE CHARGE LEVEL OF
THE AUTOGUARD:

Charge the unit fully before using it for the first time (see “Recharging the
AutoGuard” below). The charge level will go down as time passes. To
check the charge level, push the Flashlight Button (03B)     forward. The
Power Indicator Light (16) on the top of the AutoGuard will indicate the
status of power by showing the light in colors during operation (except
when using the vacuum function). 

RED:

less than 40%, needs to be recharged.

YELLOW:

30-50%, needs to be noted while in operation.

GREEN:

60-100%, optimal operation

LIGHT BULB REPLACE-
MENT: 

To replace bulb, slide the red lens into
position, exposing the bulb housing
latch. Press in on the latch and remove
the light assembly. Twist the bulb lock
counter clockwise to remove. Remove
and dispose of the old bulb. Insert a
new bulb into the bulb socket. Align the slots on the bulb lock with the

JUMP-STARTING A VEHICLE BATTERY: 

Make sure the AutoGuard is fully charged by checking the Power Indicator
Light (16). Plug one end of the 12V Connector Cord (22) into the 12V Power
Socket (08) on the AutoGuard and plug the other end into the 12V socket
in the vehicle. Wait for 15-20 minutes while the vehicle battery builds
charge. Unplug the 12V Connector Cord before attempting to start the
vehicle. Start the vehicle and repeat the procedure if necessary.

NOTE: 

If the vehicle can not be started after two attempts, DO NOT attempt to 

start again. Call a service center or tow truck for help. 

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
OF STORAGE BOX:

To remove, press in on the Storage Box Latch (30) and remove the Storage
Box (31). To install, align the tab (32) on the storage box with the slot (29)
on the AutoGuard. Push upward on the Storage Box and snap to the
AutoGuard.

WARNINGS:

• Always keep all power switches in the “OFF” position when 

not in use.

• Never use in or around water.

• Always keep the plug connected to the cigarette lighter of the 

vehicle when using the air compressor or vacuum.

• Always make sure the power is fully charged after usage.

• Recharge the power every 3 months if left unused.

• 3 months later: Power Capacity 90% remaining

• 6 months later: Power Capacity 80% remaining

• 12 months later: Power Capacity 60% remaining

tabs on the bulb socket and twist the lock clockwise to lock the bulb into
place. Snap the bulb assembly back into place on the main housing of the
AutoGuard.

NOTE: 

Replace with a standard  12V 3.6  Watt flashlight bulb.
