Check that all paddles are bolted down properly and replace bent/broken
ones before operating machine. Broken paddles can fly off rotor at high
speeds and cause serious injury
•
Wear proper hand, eye, and ear protection while operating and working on
machine
•
Make sure all guards are in place before using machine
•
Be aware of your surroundings. It can be difficult to see opposite side of the
machine during operation. Make sure you have adequate room for
maneuvering and operation
3.2.
Maintenance Safety
•
Before working on machine, make sure the machine is lowered to the
ground, the skid steer is shut off, and all moving parts have stopped.
•
Relieve all hydraulic pressure before working on hydraulic system, contents
under HIGH PRESSURE
•
Make sure the support tire is torqued properly and is filled to the
appropriate air pressure
•
Regularly check all hydraulics and lines for leaks and fix or replace as
needed
