3. Error Messages
The instrument displays error messages when an error occurs.
Check and respond to them correctly.

Insufficient light for
measurement.
Check that the finger holder

is properly attached to the
patient.
If the part being measured is

thick, insufficient light will be
transmitted. Use another, thin-
ner finger.
Clean the light-source and

sensor sections.
If this message persists, the

instrument has likely failed. *1
Flashing
Pulse signal required
for measurement is
not being received.
Properly insert a fingertip into
1
the finger holder.
This is likely caused by insuf-
2
ficient blood circulation to the
fingertip. Rub or warm the
fingertip or use another finger.
Flashing
The pulse is too strong
for correct measure-
ment.
Properly insert a fingertip into
1
the finger holder.
This is likely caused by exces-
2
sive blood circulation to the
fingertip. Take a rest for a while
and retry again or use another
finger.
If this message persists, the
3
instrument has likely failed. *1
