3. Configuration procedures

<Making settings for paper size>

(1) Plug the power cord into the power outlet and 

turn ON the power switch.

(2) Display the Service Mode screen (For details of 

how to display the Service Mode screen, see the 
Service Manual).

(3) Touch “System 2.”
(4) Touch “LCT Paper Size Setting.”
(5) Select the size of paper that was loaded in the 

paper feed cabinet.

(6) Touch “END.”

4. Adjustment procedures

<Checking the paper reference position>

<Centering>
(1) Touch “Machine.”
(2) Touch “Printer Area.”
(3) Touch “Printer Image Centering Side 1.”
(4) Touch “3rd.” and then press the Start key.

A test print will be produced.

Note:

    • If you proceed to install the Finisher FS-535/

FS-534SD/FS-534 after this installation, move 
to the section, <If you install Finisher FS-535/
FS-534SD/FS-534 after this installation>, on 
page E-7.

    • If you do not proceed to install the Finisher FS-

535/FS-534SD/FS-534 after this installation, 
follow the steps below.

(5) Measure width A of the test pattern on the back-

side of the test print produced and check to see if 
it falls within the specified range.
Specifications: 3.0 mm ± 1.0 mm

 • Adjusting the paper reference position 

If the measured width A falls outside the speci-
fied range, enter the correction value using the 

 or 

 key.

(6) Produce another test print and check to see if 

width A falls within the specified range.

Note:

If the use of the 

 or 

 key does not allow the 

measurement to fall within the specified range, 
perform the following steps.

(7) Slide the drawer out.
(8) Loosen the six screws of the drawer (Left: tow 

screws, Right: four screws) shown in the illustra-
tion.

(9) Move the front cover assy while looking at the 

tick marks on the scales placed near the screws.

If the width A is greater than the specifications:
Move the front cover assy to the 

 direction.

If the width A is smaller than the specifications:
Move the front cover assy to the 

 direction.

(10) Tighten the six screws which have been loos-

ened in step (8).

(11) Produce another test print and check to see if 

width A falls within the specified range.

Note:

    • Make the adjustment until width A falls within 

the specified range.

    • Proceed to <Centering (Duplex 2nd side)>
