5.10 Replacing the Parts on the Framework
5.10.1 Replacing the CIU
This section describes the instructions on how to replace the CIU.

Listed below are the number of people and the rough standard of work hours required for performing the
works described in this section.
Requirements
The works in this section can be performed using only the standard tools.

Removal Procedures (Page 5-6)"

, and remove the first font back panel.

Remove the circuit board cover.

3 screws (M3 x 6)
Loosen all.

Unplug all the cables connected to the CIU.

Remove the CIU.
•
4 hex/Phillips-head screws (M3 x 6)

Remove the CF card to install it on the new CIU.

Install the new CIU.
•
4 hex/Phillips-head screws (M3 x 6)

Connect the cables removed in
to the CIU.

CN1 (CCN1: cable)
•
CN5 (CCN5: cable)
•
CN11 (OCN11: cable)
•
CN13 (CCN13: cable)
Caution
•
Be sure to turn off the power supply circuit breaker and unplug the power cable from the
equipment whenever you disassemble/assemble the equipment.

to bind a grounding strap in order to
protect the circuit board from damage due to static discharge.

Caution
When removing the connector, hold a notch
on the connector without pulling a cable.
Giving a strong pull to the cable may cause
it to be broken.
