CHECKING THE PNEUMATIC BRAKES
To make sure that the braking system does not develop any defects in the first place, the
user should check the following points at frequent intervals med jämna mellanrum:
•
Non-slippery brake pedals, replace if worn.
•
Visual check of the brake shoes, linings and linkage.
•
Visual check of hoses.
•
Check all compressed air connections for leakage
•
Check to ensure that when the engine is off and waiting 10 minutes, the pressure
in the air reservoirs does not drop to below 2% of the cut-off pressure stipulated
by tractor manufacture.
•
Performance check of breakaway brake and parking brake.
•
Check for condensation water (drain air reservoirs).
•
When replacing components or parts,
use genuine spare parts only.
ADJUSTMENT OF BRAKE SHOES, LINKAGE
Basic setting
•
Dismount the spring and the wire from the brake lever dismount bolt

locking plate

. Adjust the brake lever position using bolt

so that the lever leans
backwards according to above. Position five to twelve. Mount the locking plate.
•
Mount and tension the spring, but not more then that the lever is kept in position.
•
Mount the wire and adjust the tension with the turnbuckle, but not more then that
the lever is kept in its position.
