Selecting true or relative motion behaviour in the views
In selected views you can control how the vessel symbol shall "behave" in the presentation.
The way the vessel moves in the presentation can be chosen either
true
or
relative
.
Context
This function is not available in all the views.
Procedure

Open the
Display
menu.

Locate the
Motion
function.

Select [
+
] or [
-
] to choose the requested setting.
•
True Motion
: In
True Motion
mode, the view is kept geographically motionless.
The vessel symbols moves around in the view to reflect its true movements. If the
symbol attempts to leave the view, the presentation is automatically adjusted.
•
Relative
: In
Relative
mode, the view is continuously updating its geographical
position and orientation based on the vessel movements. The vessel symbols is
kept motionless at the centre of the view.
Select the middle of the button to open a small menu with the available options.
