Tips for Using Your Blender
Blending Hot Drinks
Be especially careful when processing
hot foods or liquids to avoid burns.
Never look directly into the blender while the
motor is running.
Make sure the lid is securely placed on the
blender jug when working with hot liquids.
Make sure the funnel has been correctly
placed in the lid to allow for the escape of hot,
expanding gases and to prevent splashing of
the hot liquid.
Please let boiling fluids cool down a little bit
before pouring them into the mixer.
Always start the blender at low speed and
carefully increase to the desired speed.
Grinding Coffee Beans and Nuts
KomoMix will grind coffee beans, all nuts and
seeds.
For small seeds (sesame, etc.), add only
enough seeds to come up to the level of the
blades, without covering them. Place the lid on
the jug and begin blending at half speed. In-
crease speed as necessary.
For coffee beans or large nuts such as
cashews, process no more than one to two
cups at a time. Place the lid on the jug and
begin blending at half speed. Increase speed
as necessary.
Blending Ice Drinks
Place ice or frozen ingredients into the blender
jug.
Add enough liquid (milk, juice, water) to cover
frozen ingredients.
Place the lid securely on the blender pitcher.
Pulse the blender a few times to dislodge any
frozen items that may be locked in the blades.
Turn knob to the right to start the motor. In-
crease speed gradually as high as necessary to
blend the ingredients.
Use the stirrer to push frozen ingredients
down into the liquid. Blend for as short a time
as possible. Too much blending creates heat
through friction, which may cause the ingre-
dients to melt more quickly.
