5.1.1 AXBX Method 

1) Center Measurement. 

Set the equipment between the two code staffs of 30m. Then move the equipment closer 

to Staff B. As picture shown:   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The distance should meet the following conditions: 

    A. Station 1, the equipment should set in the center, the deviation should within 

±

1m, 

without focusing. 

    B. Station 2, b 

  2.5m 

2) Kukkamäki Method 

Set  the  equipment  between  the  2  staffs  in  a  m  away,  a  is  about  20m.  Then  set  the 

equipment  outside  the  staff  B,  the  distance  is b.  The  conditions  for  distance  are  same  to 

center measurement method.

In AXXB method, the distance scale between each staff and station should be 1:2
