1. Prepare the Site
When choosing the installation location for the tower, plan for the movement of the telescopic
shower arms. The shower arms will pivot to the sides, so make sure there are no walls or
accessories perpendicular to the tower within 22
″
(56 cm) of the tower center.
A minimum shower enclosure size of 50
″
(127 cm) side-to-side, by 42
″
(106.7 cm) deep, by 94
″
(238.8
cm) high is recommended.
2. Construct the Framing and Basin
Construct 2x4 stud framing according to the dimensional requirements required for your shower
enclosure.
NOTE:
The gap between the bottom of the installed tower and the rim of the shower receptor should be
between 1/6
″
(2 mm) and 1/8
″
(3 mm).
At the tower installation location add double 2x4 stringers horizontally between the studs according
to the roughing-in information. Use your estimated finished basin thickness to help determine the
stringer locations.
Construct the shower basin according to your specific design. For correct drainage, provide a 1/4
″
(6 mm) to 1/2
″
(1.3 cm) per foot (.3 m) pitch to the basin floor.
3. Install the Rough Plumbing
Position the rough drain plumbing according to the roughing-in information.
