5. CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

A. CLEANING YOUR BODYSPA MODULE

One of the joys of owning a Kohler acrylic BodySpa
module

is the ease of cleaning. There are no seams or

tight corners for lime or mildew build-up. As with any
smooth surface, avoid using abrasive cleansers on
your acrylic BodySpa module. Abrasive cleansers will
scratch and dull the surface. It also helps if you wipe out
your BodySpa

module after each use to prevent a

build-up of soap and mineral deposits.

If the surface of your acrylic BodySpa

module becomes

dull, you may use an automotive-type rubbing
compound on the unit, followed by a good application of
paste wax.

NOTICE: Risk of product damage. Avoid products
containing the following chemicals, as they will damage
the finish: acetone, ethyl alcohol, amyl or ethyl acetate,
sodium hypochlorite, toluene, phenol. Extreme heat,
such as that generated by cigarettes or portable heaters,
can damage surfaces; do not use such items near your
module.

B. CLEANING YOUR REMOVABLE SEAT

Clean your removable seat twice a month or more,
depending upon usage.

The seat may be cleaned using a soft cloth and warm
water. Stubborn dirt or stains may require a
non-abrasive cleanser.

Do not use abrasive cleansers or solvents on the
removable seat.

C. FLUSHING YOUR BODYSPA SYSTEM

Flush your BodySpa system twice a month or more,
depending upon usage. Use the following sequence:

Fill the bath with hot water to a level 2” above the
suction cover;

Add 2 teaspoons of a low-foaming dishwasher
detergent, and 4 ounces of household bleach to the
water;

Run the BodySpa for 5 to 10 minutes. Then shut off
the BodySpa, and drain the water;

Fill the bath with cold water to a level 2” above the
suction cover, and run the BodySpa for another 5
to 10 minutes. Drain the bath, and wipe it dry with
a soft cloth.

D. FLUSHING YOUR WHIRLPOOL SYSTEM

Flush your whirlpool system (if equipped) twice a month
or more, depending upon usage. Use the following
sequence:

Adjust the jets fully clockwise so there is no air
induction;

Fill the bath with hot water to a level 2” above the
highest jets.

Add 2 teaspoons of a low-foaming dishwasher
detergent, and 4 ounces of household bleach to the
water;

Run the whirlpool for 5 to 10 minutes. Then shut off
the whirlpool, and drain the water.

Fill the bath with cold water to a level 2” above the
highest jets, and run the whirlpool for another 5 to
10 minutes. Drain the bath, and wipe it dry with a
soft cloth.
