IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ
CAREFULLY AND KEEP FOR
FUTURE REFERENCE.
• Before connecting the appliance to a socket
outlet, make sure the voltage indicated on
the appliance corresponds to your local mains
voltage.
• For safety reasons, this class II appliance is
provided with double or reinforced insulation
as indicated by the symbol .
• This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should
be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to
avoid hazard.
• The proximity of water presents a hazard
even when the hair dryer is switched off.
When using the appliance in bathrooms,
unplug after use.
• For additional protection, the installation
of a residual current device (RCD) having a
rated residual operating current not exceed-
ing 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit
supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for
advice.

WARNING: Do not use this appliance
near bathtubs, showers, basins or
other vessels containing water.
• The appliance is only intended for drying
scalp hair. Do not use the appliance for any
other purpose than described in this manual,
in order to avoid hazardous situations. Do not
use the appliance on artificial hair.
• Regularly check if the supply cord, appliance
or extension cable are defective. If found
defective, do not put appliance into operation.
Immediately pull the plug.
• Never carry or pull the appliance by the supply
cord. Do not wrap the supply cord around the
appliance.
• Always unplug the appliance after use.
• Do not use attachments other than recom-
mended by the manufacturer or specified in
this manual.
• When using attachments, make sure they are
attached properly and securely.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while
turned on or plugged in. Always switch off the
appliance before putting it down, even if it is
just for a moment.
• Never pull the plug by the supply cord or with
wet hands. Disconnect the mains plug in case
of faults during use, before cleaning or mov-
ing the appliance, and after use.
• Never block the air inlet or outlet grilles. Risk
of fire!
• The appliance features a safety function. If
the appliance overheats, it switches off auto-
matically. In such case, unplug the appliance
and let it cool down for a few minutes. Before
switching the appliances on again, check the
grilles to make sure they are not blocked by
fluff, hair, etc.
• Do not insert any objects into the appliance
to avoid electric shock.
• Keep the appliance clean and free of dust, dirt
and styling products such as mousse, spray
and gel.
• WARNING: the polyethylene bags over the
product or its packaging may be danger-
ous. Keep these bags out of the reach of
babies and children. Never use them in cribs,
children’s beds, pushchairs or playpens. The
thin film may cling to the nose and mouth and
prevent breathing. A bag is not a toy.

This unit has been equipped with a tempera-
ture cut-out. If the unit overheats, it will shut
off automatically or will stop heating. If this
happens, slide the switch on the unit’s handle
into the OFF position, unplug the unit and al-
low it to cool for 10 minutes. BEFORE using it
again, make sure there is no hair or any other
dirt in the unit’s rear filter. Plug the unit in and
switch it on. If it overheats again, stop using it
immediately, switch it off and unplug it.
