Before subjecting the steering system to full hydraulic pressure, the lines must be flushed to
an ISO 4406 cleanliness rating of 20/18/15.

Prior to putting the vessel into service perform a quick inspection and function test of the
unit:
1.
Check that the mounting bolts are properly installed.
2.
Check that all hydraulic connections are tight and are not leaking.
3.
Check cylinder and tiller position against general arrangement drawing.
4.
Check the tiller bolt installation.
