4.4.1.1 Control Time Actual State
In the control state the power factor control passes discontinuously as a sequence of
control
interventions
. The period between occurrence of control deviation and consecutive control intervention
is called
control time
.
Its value can be checked in the line 3 of
the total three-phase value of control deviation ΣΔQfh
window. In balanced state no control time countdown occurs and the line is empty.
As soon as the control deviation exceeds one half of appropriate smallest output power, the control
deviation flag appears, the control time counter is filled with appropriate preset control time value
(depending on the deviation polarity) and starts to count down. As soon as it expires, new control
intervention occurs and the control process continues again from the beginning.
If the control deviation drops down below one half of the smallest output power, the control deviation
flag disappears, the control time countdown is stopped and the value stops showing . But there are
two exceptions to this – if :
•
either at least one control choke (or, generally, inductive character section) is switched on,
•
or there is very low load in the network
the control time counts down at minimum rate even during balanced state.

If a controller in the standby state the standby cause is displayed in the line instead.
4.4.2 Standby State, Standby Cause
There can be various reasons causing the controller goes to the standby state, indicated by flashing
message in the line 3 of
the total three-phase value of control deviation ΣΔQfh
window :
•
U
=
0
or
I
=
0
: fundamental component of measuring voltage or current is below the
instrument sensitivity causing that power factor cannot be evaluated
•
P
=
0
:
the U1-angle parameter
is not set ( for single-phase mode only )
•
C
=
0
: no control section (output) available ( all of the sections have zero reactive power
or are set as fixed sections )
•
A
L
A
: control sections are forced off due to active actuation of any alarm; in such case
the
alarm symbol flashes
•
d
I
S
: (discharge) neither of compensation capacitors is discharged yet; such case
occurs usually after power-up only
