1. Lean toward the pole to add slack from Wood Pole Fall
Restrict Device (WPFRD).
2. With left hand grab the outer strap near the D-ring.
3. Grasp carabiner assembly with right hand and undo
carabiner gate.

7. POLE WITH CONDUIT
Conduit at 6 o’clock position.
Conduit at 12 o’clock position.
When climbing a pole that has conduit, one position for the location of the conduit should be directly in front of the end user. The other
position for the conduit location is directly behind the pole. The conduit in relation to the user must either be at 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock
when viewing the pole as a clock face.
6. DRY AND WET POLES
The Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD) has been designed
to meet CSA Z259.14-01 standard as a Type A Fall Restrict Device.
Do NOT use on icy poles.
Wrong position for cam bracket sub-assembly.
Wrong position for carabiner sub-assembly.
The Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD) hardware must NOT be located on the conduit as shown in photos above.
Hardware must be in direct contact with the pole at the 9 and 3 o’clock positions. Failure to do so could prevent the
Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD) from stopping your fall causing injury or death.
