your hob In order to avoid a hazard.
Make this information available to the per-
son responsible for installing the appliance
as it could reduce your installation costs.
• This appliance complies with electroma-
gnetic safety standards.
Proper use
• The hob is designed for private and home
use and intended for heating food.
Use the products exclusively for the
intended purpose!
• This appliance is intended to be used in
household and similar applications such
as: staff kitchen areas, farm houses, by
clients in hotels and other residential
type environments.
• Operation via an external timer or a
separate remote control is not provided
for this appliance.
• The seller is not liable for damages or pro-
blems resulting from improper handling
or non-observance of the instructions.
Installation
• The appliance may only be installed
properly by a suitably qualified person
and in compliance with the installation
instructions.
• Failure to install the appliance correctly
could invalidate any warranty or liability
claims.
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains
electricity supply before carrying out any
work or maintenance on it.
• Connection to an appropriate earth wi-
ring system is essential and mandatory.
Alterations to the domestic wiring system
must only be made by a qualified elec
-
trician. Failure to follow this advice may
result in electrical shock or death!
• This appliance should be connected to
a circuit which incorporates an isolating
switch providing full disconnection from
the power supply.
• Take care! The edges of the product are
sharp and could cause injury or cuts.
• When this hob is used, heat and moisture
are generated in the environment.
Ensure that the kitchen is well ventilated.
Use the possibilities provided or install
an extractor system (e.g. a cooker hood)
if necessary. Do not install the hob in an
environment with higher temperatures,
near a gas stove or a kerosene stove.
Operation
• Do not use the hob in case of damage.
If the cooking surface is broken or shows
cracks, disconnect the appliance comple-
tely from the power supply (wall switch)
and contact a qualified technician.
Continued use in this condition may
result in life-threatening electric shocks!
• If the power supply cable is damaged,
it must only be replaced by a qualified
technician.
• During use, the appliance and its acces-
sible parts of this appliance will become
hot enough to cause burns.
Do not let your body, clothing or any item
other than suitable cookware contact the
Induction glass until the surface is cool.
Care should be taken to avoid touching
the heating elements.
• Handles of coolware may be too hot to
touch. Make sure that saucepan handles
do not overhang other cooking zones
that are on. Keep handles out of reach of
children.
• This appliance can onlay be used by
children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical,sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experi-
ence and knowledge if they have been
given supervision or instruction concer-
ning use of the appliance in a safe waya-
nd understand the hazards involved.
