Servicing
the shredder
Regrinding the shredder blades
Switch off motor and disconnect mains plug. After a certain shredding time the burr which has formed in the
meantime on the shredder blade has to be removed with a file (fine cut) .The underside of the blade hereby
offers the correct application angle. If regrinding is necessary all 6 blades should be ground at the same
time. Pay attention to the angle of the tool edge when regrinding. Removal is the same as when changing the
blades.
Changing the blades

protective gloves!
Unlock the lock handle and remove the feed intake
tube with filling hopper.

central bolt with counter-screw.
Then take out the shredder disc from the adapter of
brake disc.
loosen all screws on shredding disc to remove blades,
then grind or replace the blade.
Replace and fasten the new blade with new screws
and nuts.
Replace the shredding disc back into place.

NOTE: Replacement blades are shredding blades(part No. 4SH0402010) and

after around 20 working hours. Blunt or worn blades reduce the shredding
performance!

Checking the operational safety
Check all screws and bolts for a tight fit after the first few hours of work and then again at random intervals.
Check the condition and tight fit of the shredder blades before each use to avoid any risks.
Blunt or worn shredders reduce the shredding power and become apparent by material winding itself around
the shredder. This can also occur if the gap size between the shredder bar and blade is incorrectly set
(see section: Changing the blade).
