How can I use my KitchenPro Professional V Slice Mandoline?
Your Kitchen Pro Mandoline can be used to make a range of delicious dishes. From fruit salads and coleslaw to veggie chips and gratins,
the options are endless! Use fruit and vegetables that are firm and dense, as these will produce the best strips and slices. Some great
options include potatoes, carrots, onions, cucumber, zucchini, radishes, beetroots, apples, pears, melon and pineapple.
Important:
When cutting fruit, always remove any hard stones and seeds to avoid damaging the mandoline blades.
Preparing Vegetables to Use on the
KitchenPro Professional V Slice Mandoline
Prior to slicing your ingredients, cut your fruit or vegetables on both ends so it neatly fits inside the food holder. Once the food is
secured in the food grip, slide the item up and down the food bed to slice.
Stop slicing when the fruit or vegetable has 5-10mm remaining to avoid the pronged grip making contact with the v slice blade or
julienne blades.
How to Slice
Pull and turn the julienne blade dial
clockwise so that there are no blades
visible on the food bed. Once the blades
have been retracted, release the dial to
lock the blades away.

Choose the desired thickness of your
slices by turning the v slice adjustment
dial at the top of the machine, this will
lower and raise the food bed. There are
7 thickness options to choose from. For
thicker slicers, set the dial on the widest
gap between the food bed and the v
slice blade, for thinner slicers, set the
dial on the narrowest gap between the
food bed and v slice blade.
Place your ingredient inside the food
holder and secure with the pronged
grip. Slide the food up and down the
mandoline over the v slice blade to
create your slices. Remember to remove
hard stones and seeds from fruit prior
to slicing.
How to Julienne
Gently pull and turn the julienne blade dial so that the julienne
blades are visible on the food bed, then release the dial to lock
the blades into place. Choose from the thinner shred setting or
the thicker strip setting.

This dial will lower and raise the food bed. For thick strips,
leave a wide gap between the food bed and the v slice blade.

and the v slice blade.
Once you have selected your desired thickness, use the slicing
blade lock lever to lock the food bed into position.
