If necessary to replace the internal gear, pry it
from the bottom cover (Fig. 61).

When installing new gear, start with beveled side
down; align notches with holes in gear case and tap
evenly into place using a non-metallic mallet.
Insert and tighten the five special screws evenly
(Fig. 62) to 18 - 20 in. lbs. torque.

Insert the four #10-24x1” fillister head screws into
the bottom cover making sure they are tight (Fig. 63)
(18 - 20in/lbs.).

Place a small amount of Benalene 930-2
lubricant on the teeth of the internal gear.

Check the condition of the planetary. If there is
any play in the agitator shaft and the bearing (not
shown), replace the planetary and the shaft
.

The bearing is an integral part of the planetary.
Hold the agitator shaft firmly and remove the
pinion retaining clip (Fig. 64).

Lift off the pinion. Take out the pin and remove
the washer (Fig. 65). Pull the agitator shaft out.
